Twisted Love – Vibe

The book gives off the grumpy guy next door vibes, with brother’s best friend and a dash of grumpy into sunshine. Ava fills Alex’s dark world with light and helps him fight the demons from his past. But with her bright and happy personality, she defeated each of his demons and took him into her world of sunshine and rainbows. Well, that at least explains his nickname for her, ‘sunshine’. Shining brighter than anything in his bleak world.

You’ll also see plenty of insights into Twisted Hate with Josh and Jules’s constant fights. And just how eager she is to catch a glance of a shirtless Alex mowing his lawn. And if not that, how to get his money, in exchange for information on Ava.

The author fills the book with love, laughter, and the warmth of friendship.

Let’s talk Spice

The book contains a small amount of open-door spice. Alex, though he loves Ava to the moon and back, being a man, he did something stupid, per usual, and spent time grovelling. Which he could have used to make love to her. But alas, a man only learns from his mistakes and punishments.

Though open-door, I’ll catalogue this book’s smut into the minimal category, i.e., there are graphic descriptions, but not a lot of smut scenes. They are also easily skippable for people who are not comfortable with explicit bedroom talk or want to avoid it.

Twisted Love – Takeaway

I love this book, and Alex most of all from all the twisted series men. I definitely have a soft spot for him. It is a great book to read, with a great storyline and smut. Ana Huang, as usual, never disappoints. Do give it a try and let me know what you think about Alex and Ava.

⭐ 4.8/5 stars: Not a complete 5 from me as it lacks the dark romance edge I love.
