T.L. Swan’s Mr. Masters – You Can’t Miss This Nanny Romance

In need of a forbidden nanny romance? Well, look no further. Mr. Julian Masters is seeking a nanny. Someone who can look after his 8-year-old son and 16-year-old daughter. Being a judge and a widow, he has his hands full on the weekdays and wants a live-in help.

But what happens when this live-in help is not only hot as fuck, but is also feisty, and will not take any bullshit from anyone against her or the kids? Once her mama-bear instincts kicked in, Mr. Masters didn’t stand a chance against her either.

Mr. Master – Blurb

He is powerful, older and my boss, a lethal combination.
Job satisfaction has taken on a whole new meaning.

When I lied on my resume, I didn’t expect it to matter.
I mean any child would love me; I was born to be a nanny.
I applied for a position working for a woman, or so I thought.
But Julian Masters is definitely all man…the kind you dream of licking chocolate from.

The first day was bad.
The kids were the spawn of the devil and I spied through a window and caught him doing something obscene…. and equally fascinating.

The second day was worse, he caught me snooping in his bathroom cabinet in my skimpy pyjamas and all hell broke loose.

On the third day, I ran over him in a golf cart.

And by day four I had decided that I wanted that chocolate…all of it.
Melted….on me.

But intelligent, widowed Judges don’t fall for ditzy nannies.
Or do they?

Characters

Mr. Masters is like fine wine, in front of a newly legal adult, tempting as hell. With his no-nonsense attitude and walls as high as the Great Wall of China, any relationship with him beyond employment seemed unreal.

He carries the guilt and grief of losing his wife. Unable to love anyone, he is convinced love is not for him. Attraction could be a frightening thing; that’s why he wants to stay clear of her. A hard feat to conquer when she is everywhere, at his daughter’s games on her days off, at his house, and in his room. Phew!

Brielle wanted a break, a change after her breakup. A working holiday in a different country seemed like a good idea. Maybe not so much when everything went downhill the very first day. Determined to prove her boss wrong, who fired her on the very first day, she is ready to perfect this nanny-ing thing.

And she didn’t even have to try hard. Her connection with the kids was natural. She understood them, and they loved her, which kinda failed Mr. Masters plan of staying away from her.

Mr. Masters – Vibe

It’s a sweet romance with a slight touch of a dominant male lead. A compilation of all of my favourites in the single dad-nanny book, Reluctant male lead, check. Troubled teen who takes time to open up, but once she does, loyal as hell? Check. Cute younger child. Check. Undeniable chemistry between the two? Check.

A perfect book for me. Whether it be the cooking scenes, where she teaches the teen to cook, or their golf bonding game, or when the teen hosts a family dinner for the first time, or shopping trips. This book has it all!

The male lead could get annoying at times when he refuses to see what he chose or thought might not be the best thing. But don’t you worry, Brielle will whoop his ass into agreement. She is not afraid of telling him off, even when, as an outsider, she should let the parent make the decision.

I can describe her vibe best as, once she loves, she will fight for you, even with you.

Let’s talk Spice!

Don’t get carried away with this soft, mellow, feel-good outer cover. T. L. Swan’s book does not lack in smut. You’ll find many sexual mentions, graphic, may I add.

It is an open-door, smut with graphic sexual conversations. The leads are very comfortable talking about their sexual life, so be ready, especially Mr. Masters.

Also, if you like secret romance and role play, you are at the right place.

Content Warning: Alcohol abuse, Bullying, Cheating (mentions), Death, Suicide

Mr. Masters – Takeaway

I feel like this book is the perfect blend of everything you might expect of a typical nanny romance, along with satisfying smut scenes. And have I mentioned a jealous, possessive, yet confused, male lead who is hella clingy?

⭐ 4.8/5 stars: I loved this book, and would definitely read it again.
