Wrong number, something we all face every other day. Monroe also got a text from an unknown number one day. And like any other person, she responded a little, told him he had the wrong person, and went about her day. The end of the story, right? Well, it would have been only if the person on the other side wasn’t Lincoln.
Truth be told, Lincoln would not have been any problem. The problem started when he saw Monroe’s photo. One look, and he was a goner.

The Puckin Wrong Number – Blurb
One text to the wrong number…mine…and everything changed. He won’t tell me his last name, and maybe that should throw up a thousand red flags, but when I’m all alone in a new city and struggling to make ends meet, his texts are the lifeline I’ve been desperate for. But I never would have answered that text if I’d known that Lincoln Daniels, superstar hockey player extraordinaire, was the one sending them. He’s trying to sweep me off my feet now. He says he’s obsessed. He wants me wearing his number…permanently. The question is…is he still the wrong number, or can this hockey god prove he’s Mr. Right?
Characters
She is new in the city, she has left an abusive life behind, and is working every day toward the life she wanted. She does not have time to date, and she can’t afford to miss work or night school. But then a random text changed everything.
She started falling for a man whose last name she didn’t even know—a man who could’ve been a forehead model because he refused to share a photo. Yup! Red flag all the way. But Monroe couldn’t help but fall for him a little more each time they talked. Until it was too late. Until she found out he was a super-star hockey player extraordinaire.
Lincoln lost the battle of love the minute he saw her photo. He wouldn’t risk doing a single thing that could stand between her, becoming his. And if it meant hiding who he was, then so be it.
Of course, Lincoln, being who he is, couldn’t just leave her be and face the risk of another man swooping in and stealing her away. So, like any other person pursuing their love, what does my man do? He stalks her.
The Pucking Wrong Number – Vibe
The book carries a dark romance vibe where the male lead is so obsessed with his woman that he would do anything to have her and for her.
It is full of passion, need, and want from both the characters for each other. On a lighter scale, it also has a dash of comedy owing to Ali Lancaster, Lincoln’s best bud and teammate. The only other person who knows about Monroe, but not to what extent Lincoln is willing to go for her. But don’t you guys worry, he finds out just how unhinged his friend is when he starts to actively pursue his love.
Lincoln has one rule, Monroe is his, and nothing and no one is allowed near her except him. You heard it right, no one, and that includes other women as well.
Lincoln is portrayed as a protector, a provider, and a lover. He’s everything Monroe ever dreamed of and more. But she’s also fiercely independent—and she doesn’t need his money to build her future. Lincoln takes a step back, loving how she enjoys her life, work, and their love until the work becomes too much. Until the said work starts to become a problem in their love. So, what does he do? Read to find out.
The book is filled with such scenes of love, and passion, and obsession.
Let’s talk Spice
The book is filled with spice. If you are a person who loves a passionate connection between them, where they can’t get enough of each other? This open-door smut romance novel is the perfect fit.
And the spice hits the next level when he adds a tattoo dedicated to her on his already tattooed body. A special tattoo, for a special someone, at a very special place. A place only she has access to see. A body part that solely belongs to her, or in her.
Content Warning: stalking, manipulation, kidnapping, and dark romance elements.
The Takeaway
The Pucking Wrong Number is a true dark romance novel, with a stalker male lead, who would do anything, and I mean anything, to get and keep his girl. And once she is his, nothing can make him give up on her. Not even her.
So, all my dark romance lovers out there, pick up this book and give it a read. I can assure you, that you will fall in love with Lincoln and wish for him to be real and in love with you, while also praying for the wish not to come true.
⭐ 5/5 stars: I would read this book any day, any time. Lincoln is my one and only (sadly, I’m not his)!!
